Installation Checklist

Once you have purchased your carpet, Bondi Carpets will arrange to have your carpet laid by our highly skilled team of installers at a suitable time and date. Your new floor coverings will be installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS2455 Textile Floor Coverings, Laying Practices.

We will take care to:

  • Minimise joins
  • Minimise wastage
  • Keep joins away from high traffic areas where possible
  • Take consideration of ambient light
  • Take consideration of flow of traffic
  • Tips on how to ensure your installation goes smoothly on the day:

Furniture, if being moved by client, needs to be completely removed.
Clear away any loose items ready for furniture removalists to move furniture (e.g. magazines on tables, etc.).
Computers, printers & fax machines are the sole responsibility of the client.
Ensure bookcases and cupboards that are being moved around are emptied out.
Remove shoes and any other items from the bottom of robes.
Safely stow away any fragile items such as decorative plates, lamps, photo frames, etc.
Strip beds of all linen in preparation for removal.
Other Tips:

  • Ensure that pets are isolated from installation areas on the day.
  • Painting needs to be completed at least 2 days prior to installation
  • Power needs to be made available on the day of installation.
  • All other trades need to be clear of area to be installed on the day of installation.
  • Doors requiring cutting need to be completed prior to installation.
  • In-floor heating or cables under carpet – Bondi Carpets takes no responsibility for any damage to either item & should be notified if they are present prior to installation.
